Who we are?

The Sõbralt Sõbrale Foundation is a social work organization of the Union of Free Evangelical and Baptist Churches of Estonia, which, in cooperation with parishes, local governments and other organizations, offers regular support and assistance to people belonging to risk groups in society.

Sõbralt Sõbrale Foundation has been operating since 1991 and has always focused on helping people in more difficult situations in society. The areas of activity have changed over time and the foundation has adapted its activities to changing needs.

The foundation operates in cooperation with the EEKBL congregations (85 congregations across Estonia) and for the last 15 years in cooperation with the Sõbralt Sõbrale second-hand stores (18 stores across Estonia). Therefore, networking and cooperation with various partners both at the national level and at the level of non-profit organizations are very important in achieving the goals.

The Sõbralt Sõbrale Foundation operates in cooperation with the congregations belonging to the EEKB Union and creates value through the Sõbralt Sõbrale store chain through a social business model. The majority of funding currently comes from the sales revenue of recycling stores, a smaller part from project funds and direct financial donations.

Our main target group is children/youth and families with children in difficult situations (either financially or in terms of mental health); in addition, those people in need of help who have not found a solution to their situation elsewhere or who do not have the ability to seek help themselves.

Many people in need reach us through people in our churches who have noticed a person/family near them who needs help. Anyone can contact us through the form/contacts on the website.

As a Christian organization, our specialty is our ability to offer people spiritual support during times of crisis in their lives, if they want/need it.

Sõbralt Sõbrale second-hand stores are lifestyle stores that aim to promote a recycling and charitable lifestyle. Every purchase or donation of used items at Sõbralt Sõbrale store helps to do good, as we support children, young people and families in need through the proceeds from sales.

Friend to Friend regular customers receive a 10% discount and special offers vary. Instead of a customer card, regular customers benefit from our fabric customer bag, which can be purchasest from every our store.
