Charity

Revenue generated through our recycling stores and donations is reinvested for the benefit of people and communities. In cooperation with congregations, local municipalities, and other organisations, we provide regular support and assistance to people belonging to vulnerable groups in society.

Our charitable circular model brings together reuse, community responsibility, and shared contribution. Christian care, for us, means a form of support that grows out of relationships—with people and within communities—focusing on prevention, everyday coping, and finding solutions in difficult situations.

What we do

Mental Health Counselling and Legal Support

We provide mental health counselling, family therapy, and legal support to people experiencing crises, relationship challenges, or situations that require thoughtful guidance. Counselling helps individuals better understand their situation, make informed decisions, and find suitable ways to move forward.

Community Work Through Churches Across Estonia

Partnership with congregations allows us to be present within local communities and to work with a long-term perspective. We support charitable projects led by congregations that create safe environments for children and young people, provide support for families and the elderly, and respond to practical needs. In addition, we invest in empowering local workers by sharing knowledge, skills, and tools that strengthen community-based initiatives and their sustainability.

Support for Families and Children

We support families and children in cooperation with Sõbralt Sõbrale stores and partner organisations, including the Estonian Refugee Council, Valge Eesti, and Tartu Food Bank. Together with our partners, we create conditions that help families better cope with everyday life, strengthening their independence and sense of security.

Children’s Well-being and Inclusion

The “365 Birthdays” project and the Narva Children’s Room focus on children’s overall well-being, safety, and creating opportunities for development. Through these activities, we support children in experiencing that they are seen, cared for, and valued, and in discovering their own meaningful contribution.

Opportunity to Support

By shopping at Sõbralt Sõbrale stores, donating clean and tidy items, volunteering in stores or the social cause, or supporting with targeted donations, you are contributing to the fact that the lives of children and families in difficult situations could change.

If any area of work of SA Sõbralt Sõbrale particularly appeals to you, you can support it financially by making a transfer to the SA Sõbralt Sõbrale account and adding the keyword (Counseling center, Narva children’s room, etc.) in the explanation.

In recent years, family therapy and counseling have become one of the most important areas of activity, and professionals in their field work in this area, while camps and congregations, with the support of volunteers, offer communication environments for children, young people and adults, which are indispensable for people with loneliness problems in this era.

The foundation creates opportunities for congregations to do more effective social work in their region and at the same time initiates activities and projects for less supported target groups.
