At the moment we have charted around ten families with a difficult background that we want to support as much as we can – in a material as well as in a emotional way. We have supported them with clothes, footwear and home goods, helped them with maintenance, with buying home appliances and also helped them health-wise and also offered counselling. We have also taken care of children’s hobby and training expenses. With the help of the Estonian Food Bank we have been able to give food aid and together with the of Estonian Refugee Council have helped furnishing the homes of refugee families of Tartu.
It is important to us that families would chip in their part and that we would see together how things go uphill and get to solutions. Local counsellors have a vital role in this because they are our right hand by helping us daily by giving advice.
